Recovery Science: What Actually Has Evidence

Before any compound enters the conversation, the interventions with the strongest recovery evidence are unglamorous and free.

Recovery is the most searched topic in peptide communities, and the area where the evidence hierarchy is most inverted. The interventions with the largest and most replicated effects are sleep, progressive loading, protein intake and time.

That is not a rhetorical framing. It is the practical reason grade D compounds should not displace the basics: the basics have grade A support.

Sleep as the primary variable

Sleep restriction studies show measurable effects on glucose handling, hormonal profile, perceived exertion and injury risk in athletic populations. No peptide has evidence of that quality for recovery outcomes.

Loading, not resting

For tendon in particular, controlled progressive loading is the best-supported intervention in the rehabilitation literature. Passive approaches, including most pharmacological ones, have a much thinner record.

Where compounds fit

Legitimate scientific interest in repair peptides exists, and the mechanistic work is real. What does not yet exist is human outcome evidence that would justify positioning them ahead of interventions that work.
